此对路易十六风格的烛台，通体为青金石，极其精细的铜鎏金装饰其中，是由查尔斯·瓦朗戈斯（Charles Varangoz）（1831年，生于巴黎）于1889年左右制造。 采用的青金石品种为“智利青金石”。顶部的盖子可转动，是由松果形的铜鎏金装饰组成的盖子。在装有这对蜡烛的盒子中，我们看到“ Varangoz Lapidairerie d'art 91, rue de Turenne Paris”字样（当时瓦朗工坊所在地）。
